At this point, I feel like Hannah Montana should be following me around singing “Best of Both Worlds” when I’m out with my couples for a hybrid elopement.

Because that’s exactly what it is. Unfortunately, Hannah didn’t make an appearance at Olivia and Toby’s Estes Park hybrid elopement, but it was still a beautiful day that delivered both family time and alone time.

The Details

  • Toby and Olivia have the most adorable baby son, who almost stole the show at their ceremony. It was a sweet moment to have him part of their day.
  • Their support system is very important to them, so they were all invited to their ceremony where they shared vows outside of their Airbnb in Estes Park.
  • These two also wanted to prioritize time alone together, so after their ceremony we snuck off into Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) where they exchanged private vows.
  • One of the things they were most stoked about for their hybrid elopement was to get some gorgeous photos they could cherish and hang on their walls. We had the best time exploring RMNP and getting the pics they wanted!
  • We started photos at sunset because they told me they wanted pictures with a glowy look. Ya girl delivered, and we ended up getting all types of different lighting that day.

Must Knows

  • In Colorado, expect the unexpected. Plans WILL change. Toby and Olivia had to roll with a change of plans to their ceremony spot, and they were rock stars about it. The lake we initially planned to do their ceremony at was completely dried up and looked gross, so we pivoted and did the ceremony at their Airbnb. It worked perfect!
  • Estes Park is about an hour and a half from Denver and has major mountain-town vibes. It’s home to RMNP, which does require a permit for photography. Make sure your photographer has this covered beforehand!
