Unique Wedding Venues in Colorado

My couples have taken me to some of the most epic wedding venues across Colorado for their weddings.

I think that qualifies me to tell you about some of the most unique wedding venues in Colorado. These are all tucked up into the mountains, but offer everything from a blank slate to all-inclusive options. Whatever you and bae are after, these venues have it.

5 Unique Wedding Venues in Colorado

A-Frame Club – Winter Park

Ask me about special pricing for your wedding at the A-Frame Club!

Guys, I would get married here in a heartbeat. The A-Frame Club is a two-acre site with 31 of the most amazing A-Frame cabins I’ve ever seen, plus a vibey saloon that serves dinner and cocktails. It’s the perfect blend of modern amenities and natural beauty up in the mountains. The A-Frame Club isn’t too far from downtown Winter Park either, so you even get the mountain town vibes if you want.

All of their packages include a two-night stay in their honeymoon cabin, ceremony and reception spaces, a consultation, $200 food and beverage tasting for you and bae, and four hours of staff. Keep in mind, if you want to get married between December – April, you’ll be limited to 50 guests because the outdoor space isn’t accessible.

  • Pricing: Starting at $16,500
  • Capacity: 100
  • Ideal for: Couples who want an all-inclusive venue for their intimate wedding. Lodging is onsite – everyone gets their own A-frame!
  • Planner required? Yes
  • Drive time from Denver: 1 hour, 30 minutes

Mountain Wedding Garden – Crested Butte

The Mountain Wedding Garden legit calls itself a “do-it-yourself venue,” so I HIGHLY recommend investing in a good planner. They don’t have staff members available for your day, and they don’t help with organizing/configuring the space, so everything is really on you to figure out. A planner would be a great investment so they can organize all the moving parts and take the stress away from you.

That said, there’s so much room for creativity here to design something truly unique to you and bae! You’ll have access to a beautiful garden and pavilion for your wedding. No winter events though. The venue is closed October – May. More info on pricing here.

  • Pricing: Starting at $2,000
  • Capacity: 100
  • Ideal for: Couples wanting a blank canvas to make their vision come to life or couples who want to give their family a true mountain experience
  • Planner required? No
  • Drive time from Denver: 4 hours

The Summit – Woodland Park

The outdoor space of this VRBO is perfect for a small wedding. It’s a new, custom home that’s surrounded by the Pike National Forest, so there’s nature everywhere you look. The home sleeps 16, so you’ve got a venue and lodging all in one. I love this option if you’re wanting to spend intentional time with the people you love.

Like the other venues, this one is only available May – October, and there’s also a three-night minimum. Since it’s a home not really designed to be a venue, I highly recommend a planner to coordinate any vendors you’ll need.

  • Pricing: $6,000
  • Capacity: 50 (not overnight)
  • Ideal for: Couples who want an intimate celebration with a mountain backdrop
  • Planner required? No
  • Drive time from Denver: 1 hour, 30 minutes

Piney River Ranch – Vail

Piney River Ranch is a private, forty-acre Rocky Mountain retreat, surrounded by back country wilderness within the White River National Forest. The views from their ceremony spaces are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. Your package here includes a TON! You’ll have access to the ceremony deck, reception pavilion, adjoining cocktail pavilion, couple’s suite and lounge, seating and table options, giant Jenga and cornhole, and a one-hour rehearsal the day before your wedding.

Surprise (or maybe not): This venue is only open June – September. The rental fee also doesn’t include food or beverage, or any lodging at the ranch. You can buy out cabins for your guests, which costs around $3,400.

  • Pricing: $13,500 – $16,000
  • Capacity: 200
  • Ideal for: My couples who want all their friends and family in one place or who want epic views!
  • Planner required? No
  • Drive time from Denver: 2 hours, 30 minutes

The Observatory at Alta Lakes – Telluride

Alta Lakes Observatory is a private back country cabin tucked away in the San Juan Mountains around 13 miles from Telluride, Colorado. It is one of the only homes in the US at 11k feet elevation. This is the perfect venue for a weekend getaway with your closest friends and family where you also come back married.

The maximum number of guests (excluding paid vendors) is forty-five-people onsite during non-snow months. Once snow season comes around the maximum amount of people will reflect the sleeping capacity of 12 people, as the location is only accessible via snow-mobile during that time.

  • Pricing: Starting at $7,415
  • Capacity: 45
  • Ideal for: My couples who want to host an intimate gathering with a handful of friends and relatives with a one of a kind experience
  • Planner required? No
  • Drive time from Denver: 6 hours, 30 minutes

Colorado Wedding Photography Packages

I know you have endless options when it comes to choosing a photographer, but it would be a goddamn privilege to be yours.

As a photographer who refuses to fall complacent to the endless content we are being fed every day, I promise that when you hire me, your wedding photos are going to reflect you and your experience on your wedding day. You’re not going to get a carbon copy of someone else’s wedding because why would you spend so much time planning this day if it was just a copy and paste version of someone else’s day. bb

Behind the scenes, that means a high-end, customized experience built entirely around you. Because, it is your wedding day after all. I use a mix of directive posing and candid moments to make you look damn cool, connect you with trusted (and affirming) vendors, and handle the planning details—timelines, coordination, and all the in-betweens so you’re never left wondering what’s next. Here’s everything else you can expect from me as your Colorado Wedding Photographer:

First and foremost, it is SO important that you know that all genders, races, abilities, ethnicities, cultures, & types of love are celebrated here. Now let’s get into the packages:
