I think that qualifies me to tell you about some of the most unique wedding venues in Colorado. These are all tucked up into the mountains, but offer everything from a blank slate to all-inclusive options. Whatever you and bae are after, these venues have it.
Ask me about special pricing for your wedding at the A-Frame Club!
Guys, I would get married here in a heartbeat. The A-Frame Club is a two-acre site with 31 of the most amazing A-Frame cabins I’ve ever seen, plus a vibey saloon that serves dinner and cocktails. It’s the perfect blend of modern amenities and natural beauty up in the mountains. The A-Frame Club isn’t too far from downtown Winter Park either, so you even get the mountain town vibes if you want.
All of their packages include a two-night stay in their honeymoon cabin, ceremony and reception spaces, a consultation, $200 food and beverage tasting for you and bae, and four hours of staff. Keep in mind, if you want to get married between December – April, you’ll be limited to 50 guests because the outdoor space isn’t accessible.
The Mountain Wedding Garden legit calls itself a “do-it-yourself venue,” so I HIGHLY recommend investing in a good planner. They don’t have staff members available for your day, and they don’t help with organizing/configuring the space, so everything is really on you to figure out. A planner would be a great investment so they can organize all the moving parts and take the stress away from you.
That said, there’s so much room for creativity here to design something truly unique to you and bae! You’ll have access to a beautiful garden and pavilion for your wedding. No winter events though. The venue is closed October – May. More info on pricing here.
The outdoor space of this VRBO is perfect for a small wedding. It’s a new, custom home that’s surrounded by the Pike National Forest, so there’s nature everywhere you look. The home sleeps 16, so you’ve got a venue and lodging all in one. I love this option if you’re wanting to spend intentional time with the people you love.
Like the other venues, this one is only available May – October, and there’s also a three-night minimum. Since it’s a home not really designed to be a venue, I highly recommend a planner to coordinate any vendors you’ll need.
Piney River Ranch is a private, forty-acre Rocky Mountain retreat, surrounded by back country wilderness within the White River National Forest. The views from their ceremony spaces are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. Your package here includes a TON! You’ll have access to the ceremony deck, reception pavilion, adjoining cocktail pavilion, couple’s suite and lounge, seating and table options, giant Jenga and cornhole, and a one-hour rehearsal the day before your wedding.
Surprise (or maybe not): This venue is only open June – September. The rental fee also doesn’t include food or beverage, or any lodging at the ranch. You can buy out cabins for your guests, which costs around $3,400.
Looking for some unique wedding venues in Colorado that are closer to Denver? I’ve got recs for those, too.
