It’s an honor when outlets like magazines and websites feature my work. I’m SO stoked to share the details of Raj and Heather’s downtown Denver engagement session, which was featured in Rock n Roll Bride! These two are some of my really good friends, and I was super impressed with how seriously they took their engagement session. They wanted to make sure it reflected their personalities – keep scrolling and you’ll see exactly what I mean.

The Details

  • Heather and Raj’s style is very punk rock and gothic. They wanted to project that style and personality into the vibes of their shoot, including the locations and their outfits.
  • We chose intentional spots for their Denver engagement session. We chose places that matched the vibe, like colorful murals and dark alleys. We made sure some photos featured Raj’s motorcycle since they spend so much time on it.
  • This Fall, they’ll get married in Estes Park and have dreamy mountain photos to remember it by. It was an intentional choice to take engagement pictures downtown so they’d have city pictures as well.

Must Knows

  • Engagement sessions aren’t just a reason to take pictures with your boo and show off that new bling. Those are of course valid reasons, but don’t forget your pics should reflect your personality just as much as your wedding images do!
  • Put thought into the outfits you plan to wear for your engagement session. They should reflect you and bae, not just look how society preaches engagement photos should look.
  • Here’s a question I encourage my couples to think about. When you’re both old and wrinkly, will you look back at your engagement and wedding photos and think, “Hell yeah, that’s totally us.” If not, make some changes to get your personalities front and center!

Let’s plan your on-brand engagement shoot.
