I get a lot of couples who have started planning a wedding, and then quickly realized they wanted to elope instead.
Ram and Ashley were not that couple. They actually started planning an elopement and then quickly realized they wanted a party instead! Their wedding at Blanc Denver allowed them to invite all the people that mattered to them and celebrate with SO. MUCH. COLOR!
About Blanc Denver
Having a wedding at Blanc Denver is great for couples who want an urban, eclectic space. It’s in the RiNo neighborhood of Denver, so you’re conveniently right downtown close to a ton of fun restaurants and bars. Because it’s in the city, you’d never guess they have beautiful outdoor spaces like a courtyard, gazebo, and patio.
Getting married at Blanc Denver will give you a pretty blank canvas to create your dream day. They provide tables and seating options, and you’re also required to hire a planner and use their approved vendor list for food and drink. Outside of that, the space is yours to get creative with! Ashley and Ram leaned heavily into bright, vibrant colors and equally as unique florals to match the vibe.

Ashley and Ram had one of the most colorful weddings I’ve ever photographed in my life. The vibes were youthful and fun, but still sophisticated. It was also a perfect blend of traditional wedding elements and unique moments that celebrated their relationship.
The Flowers
Ram and Ashley chose Blumenhaus as their florist because they knew she could match the level of color and fun that was going on with all the other elements of their day. Blumenhaus also delivered some super unique arrangements, like their centerpieces and Ram’s lapel. Masculine wedding outfits don’t need to have the prom-style boutonniere. Ram’s lapel florals were fucking killer. I loved that these two embraced getting as creative with his arrangement as they did with Ashley’s bouquet.
The Ceremony
Ashley and Ram had an elopement-esque moment by sharing private vows together before any of their family arrived for the ceremony. It’s so important for couples to have private moments on their wedding day, and this was a great intimate experience for them to have together. They walked down the aisle together, too, which I thought was super sweet, and then they did a special handshake before their first kiss. So many moments that were unique to them and their day! After the ceremony, we prioritized taking 30 minutes for them to have a breather and smoke a joint before joining everyone for the reception. How fucking cool do they look?!
The Reception
This wedding at Blanc Denver was a PARTY! Ashley’s mom surprised them with a Mariachi band. They had no freakin’ idea what was happening – it was such a cool moment to capture. Ashley also did an outfit change so she could be more comfortable for the rest of the night. I love an outfit change and totally think more people should embrace them on their wedding or elopement day. One of the standout moments for me was discovering Ashley and Ram making an intentional moment to soak in their day. At one point I couldn’t find them ANYWHERE. But when I looked outside, I found them just looking into the windows at their reception. Wedding days can feel like a blur – don’t forget to slow down and take in the special moments.
