All genders, races, abilities, ethnicities, and love are celebrated here.

I was so excited when Marissa and Sophie reached out to have me photograph their Colorado elopement. I believe love is love, and if you’re in the LGBTQ+ community, please know you’re safe with me. These two are originally from the Midwest but live in the Denver area, so they wanted some mountain photos to acknowledge their time out here. It was freezing, but their LGBTQ+ Colorado elopement was beautiful to witness.

The Details

  • These two wanted to elope in Colorado with the mountains as their backdrop before they had their bigger wedding back home.
  • We did their elopement at Lost Gulch Overlook in Boulder. We chose to do it right at sunset, which was beautiful, especially with the colors they chose for their flowers.
  • Sophie and Marissa read their personal vows to each other before exchanging rings. We spent the rest of the time taking photos until we lost the sun.
  • As soon as the sun went down it was fucking FREEZING, so we got out of there!

Must Knows

  • This was a one-hour session, which gave us plenty of time for vows, the ring exchange, and lots of photos around Lost Gulch.
  • I love that these two chose to do a hybrid wedding to get the best of both worlds! You can always prioritize you and bae by doing something solo before hosting a bigger wedding or celebration with your friends and family.
  • This LGBTQ+ Colorado elopement came together after just one phone call with Marissa and Sophie. Based on what they told me, I was able to connect them with great vendors and set everything up.
