Hanging out with my couples on their wedding day is so much fun.
I can’t tell you how many past clients have now turned into great friends. So when Sydnie and Nathan wanted to hang out with me for TWO days at their Breckenridge hybrid elopement, I was pumped. The first day was all about family, and day two was all about them. The best of both worlds.
The Details
First of all, Sydnie has amazing taste. The sleeves on her white dress were custom made. And that black dress? Bad bitch alert.
Nathan and Sydnie have a very close bond with their family, so it was a top priority to include them on their wedding day. They rented a house for everyone to stay at together, which I thought was super sweet.
After their ceremony at Sapphire Point Overlook, the amount of love up there was overwhelming. It was so apparent how joyful of a moment it was for everyone. They hugged every single person there. I’ve NEVER seen that much love on display – it was extremely touching.
The day with their family ended with a very intimate dinner at Ember in Breckenridge.
For day two, Sydnie and Nathan got the classic elopement experience around sunset at Blue Lakes trailhead.
After exchanging vows, they had a cute little pizza picnic and we got some dreamy pictures of just the two of them.
Must Knows
Sapphire Point Overlook requires reservations, so keep that in mind if it’s on your list. It’s a highly sought after location in Breckenridge, so book it early if you can! It has space for seating, so Sydnie and Nathan rented benches for their family to sit on during the ceremony.
Blue Lakes can require some off-roading depending on where you’re going, so please listen to ya girl and take an SUV up there. It’s a little treacherous and your little sedan probably won’t be able to handle it.
Sometimes a hybrid elopement can feel a little like a compromise, which isn’t a bad thing! It’s a great way to make everyone happy – your family gets to attend, but you also get alone time with bae. BUT, with Nathan and Sydnie there were no compromise vibes anywhere. These two truly wanted their family there. I’m so happy I was able to capture their Breckenridge hybrid elopement.
