I have couples that decide to do a totally DIY elopement, which is so badass and something I just wouldn’t have the patience for. The majority of my couples are hiring at least two to three other vendors to create their perfect Colorado wedding day.
Sure, You could use Zola, or Equally Wed to find “LGBTQ+ Friendly” wedding vendors – but not all the amazing allied vendors can afford to be listed on these websites. I decided to do the hard work of putting together a list of allied wedding vendors that you won’t have to awkwardly ask, “Will you respect me and my partner on our wedding day?”
If you don’t know, I hate the gatekeepy-ness of the wedding industry. It’s not a competition, and every couple deserves the information they need to make the best decision for them. I also know it can be hard to figure out if a vendor’s values align with your own. The amount of shady shit I see on Threads or in social media groups is jaw dropping. I only promote alternative wedding vendors who believe:
As you’re planning your elopement or wedding, check out this list of a few of my favorite allied wedding vendors in Colorado!
Not all planners are created equal. I know you have seen it everywhere, but Planners are a time to hire based on personality + design. A good planner is the difference between a wedding day you loved and a wedding day you… wish you could do again (derogatory lol). Here are my favorite planners:
These Colorado business owners create some of the most beautiful and unique floral arrangements. If there’s one thing you need to splurge on, it’s flowers.
Please Please Please don’t DIY your flowers. Please.

We also don’t buy wooden flowers – I know you have been getting those ads, but please, for the sake of all things good, avoid. Dried Florals are always a great alternative to real and will last forever! Most floral artists offer the option of Dried florals, don’t be afraid to ask. From bouquets to suit accents, they’ve got you covered. On average, Florists book one year in advance.

You don’t need an officiant to get married in Colorado – thanks self-solemnization. You could even ask a close friend of yours to officiate! But some of my couples have preferred hiring one to help manage the flow of their ceremony. If you’re looking for more of an MC situation, exploring officiant options would be the best way to go. Here are some really great allied officiants in Colorado who put your values first:
Yes, Hair and Makeup are worth it. Especially if you’re feeling anxious about your wedding day OR maybe you’re like me, and literally have no idea what you’re doing when it comes to Hair and Makeup.

Videography is so so important to the wedding day. I’m pro-videography everytime. I love how it compliments photography AND offers new perspective to your wedding day that you can hear. If you’re on the fence, feel free to discuss this more with me.
A pre- or post-elopement picnic is one of my favorite things, whether you’re inhaling a cupcake or munching on a charcuterie board. This list also includes some businesses that can whip up a special dinner for you and bae.

If you want a little something extra for your day, these businesses rent out everything from seating, silverware, arches, and lighting.
Hiring a private musician is such a special touch. It could be for the first dance at your elopement or as entertainment to enjoy at an intimate wedding.
Being in the wedding industry, an industry based on LOVE, being an allied wedding vendor is non-negotiable in my world. Being an inclusive, loving, caring person is the bare minimum and we do not tolerate anything less.
