Nothing says Colorado more than a cozy A-frame elopement tucked away in the woods.
Leah and Eric had one major priority for their elopement – they wanted to feel comfy and stay true to themselves the whole weekend. Their A-frame elopement in Blue River, Colorado gave them the perfect home base for their intentional, detail-oriented day.
The Details
Eric and Leah kicked off their day by getting ready together. Doing a planned first look just didn’t feel like “them,” so they chose to honor what felt right to them, which was spending the morning together.
We snapped a few pictures outside their black A-frame before we left for their ceremony at Officer’s Gulch.
They shared vows, said “I do,” and then we took more photos to commemorate their day.
We headed back to their A-frame to end the day, stopping for more photos on our way. I always want my couples to have a variety of photos, and I couldn’t resist the beautiful sunset.
Back at the A-frame, Leah and Eric enjoyed tacos, cake, and a unity joint together in the peace of their own private space.
Of course, we couldn’t end their A-frame elopement day without popping some celebratory champagne!
These two were giving “Vegas meets Colorado” vibes all day, from the mini dress and heels to the moody colors and unity joints. I couldn’t be more obsessed with them.
Must Knows
This A-frame is in Blue River, which is just south of Breckenridge. It’s only a two-hour drive from Denver!
Their ceremony at Officer’s Gulch took place in the middle of the day, which was a very intentional choice. Eric and Leah really just wanted to chill out for the majority of their day, so we made sure their schedule allowed them plenty of time to comfortably relax back at the A-frame.
We didn’t see a SINGLE person during their day. It was fucking wild, but also exactly what they wanted.
The details of Leah and Eric’s day were so special. They didn’t forget a single thing. I loved how much thought and intention went into the little details that made their day unique to them. Even though no one else was there to see anything besides me, they still wanted their day to feel special. Hell yes.
