You Are Worthy – How to Keep Your Mind Right as an Entrepreneur

Our minds can be total assholes – they can make us think we’re not good enough, not worthy of success, or not as talented as we should be. I’m here to tell you none of that is true! As an entrepreneur, self-sabotage is something I’ve dealt with plenty of times, so I know it’s easier said than done to practice positive thinking and self-talk. When I’m having an off day, here are a few things that help me get my mind back on track. PLUS – Read all the way to the end for an exciting announcement! Don’t skim this shit.

K THANKS BYE.

Say goodbye to anyone you’re comparing yourself to on social media. Give that unfollow button a workout by going through who you’re following and getting rid of anyone that doesn’t inspire you. The comparison game can make you feel like you’re not good enough to be in the industry and that’s not okay. Once I unfollowed accounts that had been negatively impacting me, I noticed a huge shift in my energy.

TIME AND PLACE FOR EVERYTHING

When you’re your own boss, it can be easy to lose track of time and continually avoid that one task that really doesn’t excite you. The solution? Time block your days! Schedule everything, and I mean everything, including lunch time. Work some non-negotiables into your day too. For me, it’s my morning workout and coffee. I always make sure those are a part of my day, regardless of what else is on my schedule. This keeps your mind focused on being present in the here and now, making it easier to check off all those things on your to-do list.

FIND YOUR FOCUS.

This should be a given for anyone trying to grow their biz – set your goals and determine the priorities that will get you there. Then write that shit down! Seeing what you’re working toward every day will keep it top of mind as you go about your workday, which means you’re more likely to make decisions that will push you toward that goal. If sticking a Post-It note of your goals on your laptop sounds weird AF, just trust me. Mindset isn’t fluff. When you neglect your mind, you’re neglecting your biz.

Want More Tips?

These are just a few of the things I do to keep my mind in check, but there are so many other things I do to make sure I’m at the top of my game as an entrepreneur. And I want to share all of those things with you! I believe education is so important, which is why I offer a couple different ways for my fellow biz owners to learn and improve their skills.
