There are so many affordable elopement spots in Colorado.

We have a lot of free elopement locations too, but sometimes it’s nice to know you’re guaranteed your spot by paying a permit or rental fee. I totally get it! These are my favorite affordable elopement spots in Colorado, but I always have more up my sleeve. Don’t forget, when you book me, I’m your photographer and your planner. I’ll help you and bae find the perfect, low-budget spot for your Colorado elopement.

Rocky Mountain National Park

  • Cost: $300 for a permit
  • Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) is beautiful, so it’s highly sought after by lots of couples. There are a TON of rules and regulations you need to follow, including purchasing a permit. I love recommending RMNP as an affordable elopement spot for couples who plan on bringing family who may have mobility restrictions, want to give guests a great mountain experience without worrying about conditions or commute, or really want to hike as part of their elopement day.

Sapphire Point Overlook

  • Cost: $120 for a permit
  • Sapphire Point Overlook is gorgeous, especially during a sunrise or sunset. It’s perfect for couples who want accessible mountain views without the effort of hiking! Because it’s an affordable elopement spot in Colorado, booking this location is HIGHLY competitive. I don’t recommend it for people who are big planners and like having things set far in advance. There also isn’t a ton of privacy, so if you want an intimate, secluded setting, this isn’t for you.

Sunrise Amphitheater

  • Cost: $150 for an hour, $400 for three hours
  • Sunrise Amphitheater is a stunning spot up in the Flatirons with amazing views. It has built in seating which means you won’t have to worry about any rentals (we love), and it’s also another accessible spot if you want to bring family and friends. The only thing I don’t love about Sunrise Amphitheater is that the sun can be challenging, so if you’re getting married here make sure your photographer knows how to shoot in difficult lighting.
  • Drive time from Denver – 45 minutes

Maroon Bells

  • Cost: $200 for a permit
  • If you want an affordable elopement spot with all the things – mountains, lakes, trees, wildflowers – a Maroon Bells elopement is a perfect way to get them with minimal effort. The permit process is super competitive though, so a permit can be hard to get if you don’t plan in advance. I always handle purchasing permits for my couples, so it’s one less thing to stress about for you and bae.

Cave of the Winds

  • Cost: $500
  • Colorado has more than just mountains. If you want something a little different, how about a badass cave? Cave of the Winds is just west of Colorado Springs, and when you rent the space after hours it’s all yours. It’s a game changer to not have to deal with any of the public walking around during such an intimate moment.

Great Sand Dunes National Park

  • $200 for a permit
  • A desert AND mountains? Great Sand Dunes National Park is epic, and I’m dying to shoot more elopements there. The sand dunes are nestled right in the mountains, which makes for the coolest backdrop. The sand is a little hard to walk in but it’s totally worth it!
